Minamo Island

Minamo Island (69°39′S 39°37′E / 69.65°S 39.617°E / -69.65; 39.617) is the largest of several small islands which lie in the narrow inlet between Skallen Hills and Skallen Glacier, along the coast of Queen Maud Land. Mapped from surveys and air photos by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE), 1957-62. The name was given by JARE Headquarters in 1972.
