Melleby Peak

Melleby Peak (73°16′S 1°15′W / 73.267°S 1.25°W / -73.267; -1.25) is a peak marking the eastern end of the Neumayer Cliffs in Queen Maud Land. Photographed from the air by the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59). Named for Peter Melleby, who was in charge of sledge dogs with the NBSAE.
