Megakaryocyte-erythroid progenitor cell

The megakaryocyte-erythroid progenitor cell (or MEP, or hMEP to specify human[1]) is a cell that gives rise to megakaryocytes and erythrocytes.[2][3]

It is derived from the common myeloid progenitor.[4]
