Mayor of Fair Lawn, New Jersey:[1] Fair Lawn was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 6, 1924, as "Fairlawn", from portions of Saddle River Township.[2] In Fair Lawn, residents elect the council members who then vote among themselves as to who will serve a one-year term as mayor.[3]
