María Luisa Piraquive is a colombian singer[1][2] Educator[3]benefactor, writer and leader christian. Born in Chipatá, Provincia de Vélez, Santander Department, Colombia, a February 10 at the end of the decade of the forties. Was co-founder and currently is the leader[4] of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International - IDMJI - which has more than 600 prayer rooms in 36 countries in 3 continents.[5]

Commonly known by her followers as Sister María Luisa, and produces a weekly Bible studies that are projected in all prayer rooms of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International, which are dubbed in English.

Compiler of a hymnal and choruses, with hundreds of thousands of copies distributed, producer and singer of 15 compact discs, her musical productions have been translated into English. Likewise, she wrote her autobiography which goes by the second edition, and three books on matters of Christianity.

Founder and Director of Ministry and Bible Institute Gifts, which are the pastors of the Church of God, Ministry of Jesus Christ International - IDMJI -.

too is co-founder of NGO support charity, one of international scope.

Maria Luisa is the mother of Senator a Colombian Alexandra Piraquive Moreno.[6]

Essence of her preaching

Roughly, María Luisa preaches the restoration of Christianity in modern times, and therefore is based on the Bible, focusing on the message of Jesus of Nazareth under the Neo Pentecostalism with its consequent emphasis on the actions of the Holy Spirit.

The Church goes beyond the spiritual benefits that Pentecostal churches would be comfortable with, adding additional spiritual benefits, which include the ability to counteract witchcraft, curses, demons and other trouble sources.

The greatest contribution, and most controversial issue, that Maria Luisa Piraquive ensures is that within Christianity, God speaks to man, even today, through individual prophecies as the bible[7] states, which is continued to be practiced extensively in the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International.

Biography

Childhood

Maria Luisa Piraquive, born in the late forties in Chipatá, Provincia de Vélez, Santander Department, Colombia, on February 10. Being the third of 10 children (6 women, 4 men) made up of the marriage Obdulio Piraquive and Mary. When Maria Luisa was four years her family moved to Sáchica Ricaurte Province Boyacá Department, Colombia where she lived for a period of 10 years, and her studio to one fifth of primary school. She participated in school plays, danced and recited. Since her father was a lieutenant in the police, she was constantly moving, which was raised by an aunt, in the midst of the economic characteristic of the large family. During her childhood and her audience sang rancheras were the workers of the countryside.

When she was 7 years she had a dream, which she then interpreted in their first adulthood, together with a leader of the evangelical church, as a calling from God to serve Him.

At age 13 she moved to Bogota to advance in high school (secondary) plan that was cut short for a long time, so she worked active in garment factories.

Her family and the surrounding environment during your childhood was mostly Catholic, typical of the Colombia rural at the time.

Youth

Departió with their peers in the middle of the dances of the era, such as Twist (dance), the Rock and roll and New Wave (music), and participated in small works mini-theater and music.

At 16 years, through her sister Beatriz Piraquive she met an evangelical pastor Luis Eduardo Moreno Moreno, who two years later, in September 1966, marriage contract. Beside Luis Eduardo was interested in studying the Bible, and she began practicing the accordion and song with a private teacher of music conservatory.

Adulthood

By 1968, when wandering around several churches in the company of her husband, the couple received messages from God through two prophetess gospel in which they announced the responsibility of a religious ministry. Finally around 1970 disillusioned by the bad testimony of the leaders decided not to attend any more churches. Then on a Sunday in 1971 at 1 am in the courtyard of the house of the couple in the midst of a lengthy prayer for the first time Maria Luisa prophesied giving a lengthy message to her husband which would mark the beginning of his ministry .

By then, Maria Luisa ministered the gift of prophecy, several families and many individuals accused her of being crazy, but then, when they saw the fulfillment of the prophecies, some of these people converted.

In 1973, Luis Eduardo named the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ. They established a microenterprise cubrelechos but reached bankruptcy in 1976, losing all of their possessions. Maria Luisa found work in a children's clothing firm, which allowed her to work from home and while also caring for her children.

In 1977 by an evangelical pastor, Panamanian, Dario Falcon and his wife Beatriz Piraquive, sister of Maria Luisa, opens first branch of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International, IDMJI; in 1978 they opened a third seat Cuitiva Province Sugamuxi, and fourth seat in another municipality also Boyacá Department, Colombia.

In 1979 using a organeta she started to play and tape, the hymns and choruses of IDMJI with a recorder. Produced a brochure with 150 choirs that she had memorized through the evangelical denominations and compiling 230 hymns in a hymnal. The same year she began school radio, graduating in 1988. Bachelor in Education with specialization in Linguistics and Literature, in the form of the distance Universidad de la Sabana and earned her degree in 1993.

To overcome economical problems she was teaching at a school for 3 years, Spanish literature, and sometimes social sciences.

In 1994, now a member of the IDMJI in Armenia (Quindío), who was a musician and her supported the tracks, could put the choruses and hymns, even on tape, but now with a little more quality. In 1999, Maria Luisa goes to a recording studio for the choruses and hymns CD. Her record productions have been translated into English.

Maturity

On May 9, 1996, in Bogotá, Luis Eduardo Moreno dies, victim of a heart attack, and Maria Luisa assumes leadership of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International (IDMJI).

With the new spiritual and administrative policies assumed by Maria Luisa, the IDMJI begins a rapid growth, opening new prayer rooms in Colombia and around the world starting with Miami in the United States.

In January 1997 the Bible studies that initially are broadcast in audio and then audio and video.

In 1998, Diploma in Community Management and Social Management in the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and founded the Women's Ministries and Bible Institute to train pastors of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International.

She studied in 1999 to specialize in Educational Management in the Free University of Colombia to Bogota. For 2000 is co-founder of an NGO social assistance, which would be the first of several nonprofit organizations that promote.

In 2001, she wrote her autobiography called Living. Since that year, she began to suffer from security problems in her native country, Colombia until 2006. Dissidents of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International made complaints to the media and local authorities, but was found not guilty of anything by any authority. As the problems of insecurity increased, Maria Luisa was obliged to leave Colombia and settled in the United States. Remains headquartered in the United States, but is constantly traveling around the world, visiting prayer rooms of the IDMJI, and conducting Bible Studies, where she tends to sing a cappella Christian music. These Bible Studies are designed to be showed at prayer rooms weekly, biweekly and uploaded on the website of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International.

Maria Luisa continues as principal teacher of Bible Institute Ministries and Gifts. She currently operates in a decentralized way in several countries and the graduating cohort of pastors of the IDMJI.
