This article refers to the situation of malnutrition in the Indian state of Gujarat. In Gujarat the severity of the hunger situation is considered to be alarming.

Statistics

In this state 44.7% of children are underweight 22.3% of the population is undernourished and 6.1% of children who die under the age of 5 die from hunger. [1]
