Parliamentary elections were held in Mali in 1964. Since 1960 the country had been a one-party state with the Sudanese Union – African Democratic Rally (US-RDA)as the sole legal party.[1] As a result, it won all the seats in the National Assembly. Voter turnout was 88.9%.[2]
