Overview

Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport Highway

The Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport Highway is a major highway linking Subang Jaya interchange of the Federal Highway (Federal Route Jkr-ft2.png) until the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport.

Subang-Kelana Jaya Link

The Subang-Kelana Jaya Link is an elevated highway linking Subang Jaya interchange of the Federal Highway (Federal Route Jkr-ft2.png) until Persiaran Kewajipan.

Route background

The Kilometre Zero of the Federal Route 15 is located at Subang Jaya, at its interchange with the Federal Highway (Federal Route Jkr-ft2.png).

Features

Notable features

  • The highway is lined by palm oil trees and rubber trees until 1999. But today it was developed as the new township area like Ara Damansara.
  • Many seafood restaurant along this road near Subang Airport.
  • The Kewajipan flyover on the Bulatan Kewajipan roundabout is a tallest flyover of the Subang-Kelana Jaya Link.

At most section, the Federal Route 15 was built under the JKR R5 road standard, allowing maximum speed limit of up to 90 km/h.

Current developments

Upgrading of the Subang Airport Interchange and the construction of the Subang-Kelana Jaya Link

The construction of the RM315mil Subang-Kelana Jaya Link, including a Subang Airport-Federal Highway Interchange from Subang Airport Highway (route Jkr-ft15.png) of Federal Highway (route Jkr-ft2.png) to Persiaran Kewajipan near Menara Mesiniaga and to Bulatan Kewajipan near New Pantai Expressway Mes-e10.png, had begun by the end of 2005. The project is led by the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR), while the main contractor is the Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad (AZRB). This megaproject is expected to be completed in September 2009.

Construction of the Subang Bypass from Terminal 3 to Subang North junctions

Construction began in 2007 and expected to be completed in 2009.
