Contents

Background

Center is well rounded fighter with a variegated MMA background including extensive time spent in Wrestling, BJJ, and Muay Thai – where he trained as a professional kickboxer in Thailand from 2008–2009.[2][3] As a wrestler Dustin is a 4x All American[4] and the only 2010 NAIA 4x All American qualifier.[5] As an amateur fighter Dustin owned a 8–2 record.[6][7] Center originally got into MMA after training former UFC and Strikeforce vet Jorge Gurgel in wrestling.[8] Dustin was considered one of the top 155lb pro-fighting prospects to make their debut in 2010.[2][9][10]

Currently Dustin is also working on his Master's Degree in Special Education. Dustin was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age and he hopes to one day help other kids with learning disabilities.[11][12][7][3]

Mixed martial arts

Center made his professional debut in Atlanta, Georgia on 10 July 2010 against Kenny Jackson.[13] He won via submission in the second round.[14][15] In his second fight, against Dalton Moss, he won via rear naked choke in the first round.[16] Center won Submission of the Night in his most recent bout against Brian Karmolinski. His only loss came at the hands of undefeated Jacob Allman. Center almost knocked Allman out and was dominating the fight until he got caught passing guard.[9]
