Dravidians Organization International (commonly known as Dravidians and D.O.I) is an international Non-profit organisation and Non-governmental organization. which aims to provide for Dravidian people. Dravidian people are mostly located in southern parts of India, but also in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and in various other locations.

History

The services provided by Dravidian Organization helps to reach out for Dravidian people who require financial support for a number of reasons such as helping through poverty, helping orphans, sponsors for education and various other causes. Being a Non-profit Organization the donations and sponsorships go directly towards helping the recipients stated on the forms.

Partners

In cases where it is not possible for Dravidians Organization to distribute the collected funds directly to those in need, the method of distribution will be through various other partnering organizations such as Red Cross. All partnering organizations are non-governmental organizations, i.e. no participation or representation by any government. An example of a recent situation when Dravidian Organization could not directly distribute funds was to the IDPs Camps in Sri Lanka.

Other

The term Non-profit Organization is used to define an Organization where any funds/profits collected are not distributed to owners or shareholders within the Organization. The funds are solely for the purpose of reaching their goal which in this case is to help Dravidian people who are in need of support.
