John Jeremiah Sullivan

[John Jeremiah Sullivan (born 1974) is a Southern American writer and an editor.

Sullivan was born in Louisville, Kentucky and earned his degree in 1997 from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.

His first published book is "Blood Horses: Notes of a Sportswriter's Son" (2004, Farrar, Straus & Giroux).

Awards

* Winner of the Eclipse Award for writing about horseracing (2003)
* Winner of the National Magazine Award for Feature Writing (2003)
