Overview
According to its website, DiversiTech is the largest manufacturer of air conditioning condenser pads in North America.[1] In the US, DiversiTech owns and manages distribution centers in Georgia and California,[2] with manufacturing facilities in Georgia, Florida and Texas.[3] The company’s European arm, DiversiTech UK Limited, operates distribution centers in Nottingham, England, while its relationship with East West Manufacturing allows the company to develop, engineer and manufacture products in China and Vietnam.[2]
One way DiversiTech expands its product line is by acquiring other producers and manufacturers such as Devco Enterprises, Wagner Manufacturing, The Black Pad, Hef-T-Pad and Specialty Chemicals.[1]
DiversiTech has 1,000,000 sq/ft of manufacturing and distribution space[3] and 350 employees worldwide. The median age is 36, and the company is 80% male and 20% female.[4]
In 2011 DiversiTech will be attending the AHR Expo in Las Vegas.[5]
History
DiversiTech was founded in 1971 in Conyers, GA. In 1983, Charles Lipman, an attorney and real estate investor, became the primary investor and president of DiversiTech amid financial problems within the company.[6]

Founded as a pre-cast concrete manufacturing company, Diversitech focused exclusively on producing the CladLite Concrete Equipment Pad,[2] until the 1990s when it expanded its business model to include manufacturing a full line of HVACR products and chemicals.[3]
In 2001, in an effort to reach Asian markets, former DiversiTech executives Scott Ellyson and Jeff Sweeney [7] formed East West Manufacturing, LLC. as a stand-alone company[2] maintaining a close working relationship with DiversiTech.
DiversiTech moved into its current corporate headquarters located in Duluth, Georgia in 2004.[2] The Atlanta Business Chronicle named DiversiTech #80 on its list of top 100 privately owned businesses in Atlanta in 2007.[8] Also in 2007, Blue Hawk Distribution presented DiversiTech with its Vendor of the Year Award.[9]
In 2010, DiversiTech announced Jim Prescott as new president, while Charles Lipman remained CEO of the company.
Products
DiversiTech produces components and accessories for the HVACR industry. Some of its products include the ClearVue Pump, UltraLite Equipment Pads, CladLite Hurricane Pads, Charles Gallo Drain Gun, and Triple-D Universal Coil Cleaner.
DiversiTech sells almost all of its products exclusively to wholesale distributors, however some products, such as its grill pads, are sold to consumers.
