De Hoeksteen (The Cornerstone) in Barneveld, the Netherlands, is the second largest church buildings[1] in the Netherlands. It is used by the congregation of the Gereformeerde Gemeenten in Nederland, a highly conservative denomination.[2] The church services are conducted using exclusively the Statenvertaling (Dutch for States Translation) of the Bible.[3] Almost all[weasel words] of the songs sung during the worship service are based on the book of Psalms.[citation needed]

Construction of the church

Plans for building a new church were first considered in 2005.[4] The construction began in 2007 and took 1,5 year.[5] The new 2,500 seating church is opened in 2008.[6] The church tower is approximately 47 meters high.[7]
