Roanoke Bible College is a private Christian college located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. It was founded in 1948 to train preachers for churches in eastern North Carolina and the Tidewater region of Virginia. Roanoke Bible College is supported by Independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, which is part of the Restoration Movement.

Academics

Roanoke Bible College first received school accreditation in 1985 from the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Then in 1999 it became an accredited member of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. [http://www.sacscoc.org/dtails.asp?instid=59975]

Roanoke also has agreements with Elizabeth City State University and College of the Albemarle allowing dual enrollment. Current enrollment stands at 190 with approximately 15 faculty members.

Athletics

RBC fields three varsity sports and compete in the Shenandoah-Chesapeake Conference. No athletic scholarships are currently offered. All athletes join on a walk-on basis.

Traditions

Every year during the fall semester, the seniors organize a "Sneak Day." They wake up the rest of the students at around 3AM or 4AM and take them to a secret location off campus. Faculty and staff are unaware of exact date of Sneak Day until they find no one attending classes in the morning.
