Davi Barreto was born on 27.02.1990 in Campinas / São Paulo - Brazil where he began his musical studies with Gretchen Miller and Erico Amaral. Since 2006 he studies in Sofia - Bulgaria, first at the National School of Music Liubomir Pipkov and from 2008 at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music, in the cello class of Prof. Anatoli Krastev. He won the second prize (and best performance of virtuosistic piece) in the "XII International Young Classical Musicians Competition" (Edirne - Turkey 2009); and he was awarded at the "II Blaga-Beatrice Eliezer Contest"[1] (Sofia - Bulgaria 2009).
