Dave Spence is an American politician and corporate president, CEO, and chairman.[1] He is a candidate for the Republican nomination for the office of Governor of Missouri in the 2012 election.[2] He is the former president and CEO of Alpha Packaging and the former chairman of Legacy Packaging.[1]

Early life and career

Dave Spence attended Kirkwood High School.[3] He got married in 1990 and has four children.[1] He then became the head of Alpha Packaging and the Chairman of Legacy Packaging.[1]

Political career

In 2011, Dave Spence announced his intention to run for Governor of Missouri regardless of whether the front runner, Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder, decided to run.[4] Kinder decided to run for reelection as Lieutenant Governor and endorsed Spence for Governor.[2]
