STOXX Europe 50 is a stock index of European stocks designed by STOXX Ltd. STOXX Ltd. is owned by Deutsche Börse AG and SIX Group AG. Its goal is "to provide a blue-chip representation of Supersector leaders in Europe" according to STOXX.
