Technology
DETV is purely an IPTV-based service, it requires a internet connection to be able to receive its content. Currently the service uses decoders manufactured by Beijing Transvideo Digital Technology Co., Ltd.. The decoder is capable of connecting to the internet either wirelessly using Wi-Fi or over a wired ethernet connection. It offers component video, composite video and S-video output as well as two channel stereo sound output. Also present is a USB port which is currently unused.
Channels offered
Currently DETV offers the following channels[2][3]. Timeshifting is available for all channels and the service also offers the ability to watch any program aired within a 72 hour period of airing[4]. Unlike other providers in Malaysia, DETV is much more lenient in its programming content guideline[5].
