Cronus Glacier

Cronus Glacier (68°51′S 64°4′W / 68.85°S 64.067°W / -68.85; -64.067) is a glacier 6 nautical miles (11 km) long and 3 nautical miles (6 km) wide flowing northwest into Bowman Inlet between Calypso Cliffs and Crabeater Point on the east coast of Antarctic Peninsula. Photographed by Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE) (Trimetrogon air photography) on December 22, 1947, and roughly surveyed by Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in December 1958. Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) after Cronus, the god of agriculture in Greek mythology.
