Computer Othello (コンピューターオセロ Konpyūtā Osero?) is a 1978 reversi-based video arcade game developed and published by Nintendo. It is one of their earliest video arcade games along with Block Fever and after they did release a dedicated console called Color TV Game 6 and a variety of electromechanical arcade games earlier in the 1970s. It was released exclusively in Japan in 1978. Some sources[1][2][3] claim that Ikegami Tsushinki also did development work on Computer Othello. It is not known to have ever been released outside Japan. A home version of the game was released in 1980 for the Computer TV Game (コンピューターTVゲーム Konpyūtā Terebi Gēmu?), the last of Nintendo's home consoles that don't require ROM cartridges, discs or any other removable media.

Computer Othello is a simplistic video adaptation of the classic board game alternately known as Othello (or Reversi). The screen is fully black with a green board that has a grid for placing square and cross Othello pieces. Computer Othello had only ten colored buttons per player, and no joystick.
