Clerke v. Harwood 3 U.S. 342 (Dall.) (1799) is an early United States Supreme Court case holding that: "The judgment of tho high court of appeals of Maryland being reversed, and that of tho general court affirmed, the mandate for execution goes to tho general court, and costs in both tho Maryland courts are allowed."[1]
