Career
Ginestra started his career at Serie D club Puteolana. In summer 1996, he was signed by Venezia. He won promotion to Serie A with the team in 1998 as Serie B runner-up, but did not in the plan of Venezia Serie A campaign. He returned to Venice in January 2000, played his first Serie A match on 26 March 2000. At the end of season, Venezia failed to protect her Serie A seat, Ginestra left the club and joined Siena of Serie B. In the mid-season, he joined Modena of Italian 3rd division. In the next season, he played for Pistoiese of Serie B, and again he left for 3rd division club in mid-season, this time for Padova. After helping Padova reached semi-final at Promotion playoffs in 2003, he was signed by Venezia, but now at Serie B. In January 2005, 6 months before bankruptcy of Venezia, Ginestra re-signed by Padova at 3rd division.
In summer 2005, Ginestra was signed by Frosinone and won Serie C1 Promotion playoffs with club. Again, he is not in the plan of Frosinone's Serie B campaign, and Ginestra joined Perugia of 3rd division.
After the scored 2 in the opening match of Serie C1 2007–08, he was signed by Gallipoli at same division.
In January 2010, he signed a 3-year contract with Crotone .[1]
