Cima NanoTech

Cima NanoTech

Cima NanoTech, Inc.[1] is a company commercializing nanomaterial for electronics applications. Its technologies and products include silver nanoparticles, conductive inks, and its SANTE line of transparent conductive coatings.

The company’s SANTE products harness self-assembly to allow the coating of silver nanoparticles emulsions on transparent substrates to form metallic meshes upon drying. The resultant transparent conductive films have performance and cost benefits over other technologies,[citation needed] from indium tin oxide (ITO), to conductive polymers and lithographically patterned meshes. The roll-to-roll wet, additive process gives low resistance, high transparency, and high flexibility/durability with roll-to-roll compatible wet processes.[1] Typical applications for such coatings include photovoltaics, touch screens, electromagnetic interference filters, and electroluminescent devices.

Cima NanoTech has headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, staff in Singapore, and a wholly owned subsidiary in Israel. The company also has a joint venture, TodaCima, with Toda Kogyo of Japan. The company was named a 2008 Technology Pioneer Award winner by the World Economic Forum,[2] and was recognized as a top 10 Cleantech / Greentech company.[3]
