Chrysanthos Theodoridis or simply Chrysanthos (Greek: Χρύσανθος Θεοδωρίδης; 1934 – 30 March 2005) was a singer and songwriter from Pontus, though he also lived in Thessaloniki for many years. He was born Chrisanthos Theodoridis in Oinoi of Kozani and he wrote several songs from and for Pontus. He became a symbol for the people from Pontus worldwide.[citation needed] He died of a heart attack in Greece and his body was placed to pilgrimage by hundreds of people from Pontus.
