Christoffel Jacobsz van der Laemen (1628–1709), was a Flemish Baroque painter.

Biography

According to Houbraken he specialized in gezelschappen; portraits of ladies and gentlemen enjoying music or conversation in interior settings.[1] According to the RKD he married Maria Michielsen in 1642 and the painters Paul Rijckaert and Adriaen Michielsen were witnesses.[2] In 1636 he became wine-master of the Guild of St. Luke.[2] He was the son of Jacob van der Laemen, who Houbraken thought assisted him with his merry companies.[1][2]
