Charles Stanley Group plc (LSECAY) is a British Investment Management firm. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The group consists of 4 principal trading companies which cover a wide range of financial services.[3]

History

A subsidiary of the group, Charles Stanley & Co. Ltd.,was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1852.[4] The Charles Stanley Group itself was incorporated and listed in 1896.[2] In recent years the Group has continued to acquire new companies including Garrison Investment Analysis in 2007,[5] Griffiths and Armour Financial Services in 2008 [6] and were joined by Matterley Asset Management in 2009.[7] With its 2008 acquisition of Griffiths and Armour, Charles Stanley entered the Liverpool market for the first time.[6]

Operations

The Group currently has some £13.5 billion of investments under management.[1]
