Biography

He attended York University and then after a brief stint studying musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, he began his singing career in Toronto, Canada.

In 2008, Jones signed to WideAwake Records, in Toronto to work with producer Maurice Jones Jr. on his major label debut release, "This Is Love", which was certified platinum by the RIAA in October 2008. His first single, "This Is Love," is the title track and features Sean on guitar. Jones' friend and producer Maurice Jones Jr. also collaborated on the album, co-writing "Highway Enough", the album's third single, and "One Good Reason".

In June and July 2005, Jones opened for Alanis Morissette during her "Jagged Little Pill Acoustic" Tour. On July 26, 2005, he released his first major-label album with pop group In Essence, "In essence", for Atlantic Records. It entered the "Billboard" 200 album chart at number 5.

Jones will begin his tour in support of "This Is Love" at the Venue TBA on September 12. The tour will feature a variety of opening acts, including Bushwalla and Tristan Prettyman. [http://www.popentertainment.com/tristanprettyman.htm Tristan Prettyman Rides the Crest] Accessed July 1,2007.
