Giorgos Toursounidis

Giorgos Toursounidis is a retired Greek footballer who played for PAOK and Xanthi.

Toursounidis was born in 1970 and joined PAOK's youth academy. He played 263 league games scoring 35 goals, 46 in total for PAOK, spending one season at Xanthi. [ [http://www.rsssf.com/tablesg/grk97.html Greek league 1997 at RSSSF.com] ] He was influential in the Greek national side's progression to the 1994 World Cup, but was left out of the finals side as manager Alketas Panagoulias preferred more experienced players. Toursounidis did not play for Greece again.
