Kent Cricket League

Kent Cricket League

The Kent Cricket League is the top level of competition for recreational club cricket in Kent, England. The league was founded in 1970, and since 1999 has been a designated ECB Premier League. [ [http://www.ecb.co.uk/news/non-first-class/premier-leagues/premier-leagues,1443,BP.html List of ECB Premier Leagues] ] From 1999 to 2002, the league experimented with matches played over two-days on consecutive Saturdays, the only premier league to do so, before reverting to a regular one-day schedule for the start of the 2003 season.

It has two feeder leagues serving the East and West of the county, with the top side in each league gaining promotion subject to meeting certain criteria.
