HYSTA华源 (Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association) is professional orginization which attracts people from business leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and students who has the ambition to promote business, cultural exchange and to foster beneficial U.S. - China business relationships, and to facilitate networking and exchange of business ideas among successful Chinese entrepreneurs and executives in Silicon Valley and mainland China.

As the world marches unavoidably toward globalization, the impact of China’s vast and rapidly growing economy is felt in all aspects of business and investment. HYSTA华源 (Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association) becomes part of this historic transformation. The organization aims to promote business, cultural exchange and to foster beneficial U.S. - China business relationships. HYSTA also endeavor to promote entrepreneurship and provide coaching and support for Chinese professionals in the Silicon Valley. HYSTA华源 hope to contribute toward the success of a new generation of Chinese entrepreneurs and business leaders in the global economy.

History

HYSTA华源 was established in 1999 by a group of Chinese entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. From humble beginning as foreign students with almost no assets or connections, they became prominent business leaders in the Silicon Valley. They created HYSTA with the hope to share their experiences and knowledge with young Chinese professionals entering the business world. HYSTA华源, in Chinese, means both Chinese origin and resources for the Chinese.

Today, HYSTA华源 is the leading Chinese professional organization in the Silicon Valley. It has become a trusted network for both young talents, those who have accumulated years of wisdom and a platform to exchange knowledge between the two. HYSTA华源 has also become a valuable partner for a wide range of businesses interested in China and in accessing the rich and vibrant Chinese business community in the Silicon Valley.

Programs

There are several programs in HYSTA华源.

Executive Club (EC)

HYSTA华源 Executive Club's membership that is by-invitation only and typically consists of founders of late-stage startups and senior executives of publicly traded corporations. The Executive Club is a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and pooling resources with accomplished individuals from the same cultural background.

Venture Capital Group (VCG)

HYSTA华源 Venture Capital Group's membership is by-invitation only. Certain events are may open to the public.

Emerging Leaders Forum (ELF)

HYSTA华源 Emerging Leaders Forum aims to nurture entrepreneur¬ship skills and enhance career development for aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals. ELF membership is open to the public but requires a nominal fee. Events in ELF are also open to the public.

China Chapter – Beijing and Shanghai

HYSTA华源 China Operation is established to facilitate high level exchanges between business executives in China and US, to bridge the Pacific and US business development .

Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS)

HYSTA华源 Distinguished Speaker Series offers seminars by prominent business leaders, scholars and influential policy makers in China and US on economic, social and business topics related to China. It aims to help connect HYSTA members with mainstream Silicon Valley and help enhance communication between US and China.

Volunteer Program

HYSTA华源 has a group of over 100 member volunteers. Volunteers are the main force behin all HYSTA华源 activities, including the Annual Conference as well as events sponsored by the Emerging Leaders Forum (ELF), the Distinguished Speaker Series, the VC Group. All level of volunteers are welcome in HYSTA华源.
