Western Ring Route

The Western Ring Route is a motorway system linking several State Highways of New Zealand, currently under construction in Auckland. When finished, it would through Manukau City, Auckland City, Waitakere City, and North Shore City, being 48 kilometers in length and running from north to south, bypassing the Auckland city centre and thus providing a second route through the Auckland Isthmus.Fact|date=October 2008

Costs and section length

All up the entire route could cost $3 billion dollars and may be completed by 2015, with possible tolling of one or more sections. The entire route is either 6 lanes or has the capacity to be expanded to 6 lanes later.
