Vermont Public Service Board

The Vermont Public Service Board is the public utilities commission of the State of Vermont, with "quasi-judicial" licensing and regulatory responsibilities over electric utilities (including the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant), natural gas companies, telecommunications companies, cable television systems and water companies. The 3-member Board consists of a Chairman and two Members nominated by the Vermont Judicial Nominating Board, appointed by the Governor of Vermont and confirmed by the Vermont Senate. The Chairman and Members serve for staggered 6-year terms. The offices of the Board are located at 112 State Street in Montpelier, Vermont.
