Guitarist Brant Grieshaber is best known for his work with Boston saxophonist Daniel Bennett. The two met in the winter of 2007 and have since performed major venues across the United States. In 2008, the group recorded The Legend of Bear Thompson on the Bennett Alliance record label. Brant Grieshaber performs on electric and classical guitar. Students from all over the world visit Boston to study with him and he has recently appeared on concert stages with grammy award winning artist Bill Frisell. Grieshaber is also known as the owner and founder of the Boston Recording Studio in the South End of Boston.

Background

At the age of 8, Brant began classical and ragtime piano, studying with Bates College professor Dr. Marion Anderson. At 13, Brant took up jazz and rock guitar. He earned his BA at Berklee College of Music, studying with Garrison Feuel and Bret Wilmott. At the Boston Conservatory, he did graduate studies in classical composition with Osvaldo Golijov. He has also studied guitar with jazz fusion artist Frank Gambale.
