nitride ofyttrium .Yttrium nitride is hard ceramic material similar to
titanium nitride andzirconium nitride .The nitrides of
lanthanum ,scandium , andyttrium showsemiconducting properties and additionally the lattice structure of YN differs only by 8% from that ofgallium nitride . This makes YN a possible substance as buffer between the substrate and the GaN layer.References
