Ralph Samuels

Ralph Samuels (born December 1, 1961, Anchorage, Alaska) is an Airline Executive, Businessman and a member of the Republican Party that has been elected as aState Representative of the Alaska State Legislature on 2002, 2004, 2006 representing House District 29.

Education

Attended schools in Anchorage, King Salmon, and Fairbanks and graduated from Metlaktla High School in 1979. He attended the University of Alaska, in Fairbanks from 1980 to 1985

Energy and environment

In March 2007, when the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin presented the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA) to build a natural gas pipeline from the state's North Slope (with $500 million seed money from the state), Samuels was the only legislator who voted against the measure.
