Fourth Military Medical University

Fourth Military Medical University (第四军医大学) is a military institution of higher learning, affiliated to the People's Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China. It was founded in 1941, and was relocated in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, China in November, 1948. Its former names include "People's Medical College of Northwestern Military Region", and "First Military Medical College of PLA". In October, 1952, the Central Military Commission of PLA renamed it as Fourth Military Medical University affiliated to PLA.
