The Dimes is a four-piece American pop band from Portland, Oregon. The songs on their debut album, "The Silent Generation", are largely based on stories singer Pierre Kaiser found in Depression-era newspapers that he found in his basement. The album was released to generally positve critical reviews. Their song "Jersey Kid" was featured on .
