Victor Miller (murderer)

Victor Miller (murderer)

Victor Miller (born 1956) is a convicted British murderer of Jamaican origin.

On 17 January 1988, Miller lured 14-year-old Stuart Gough in Hagley, a largeWorcestershire village some 15 miles south-west of Birmingham. He abandoned Stuart's body in Malvern, more than 20 miles away from Hagley.

Several days after Stuart's disappearance, Miller was questioned by police in connection with a sexual assault on another boy. He then led the police to Stuart's body, and was charged with murder.

On 2 November 1988, Miller confessed to murdering Stuart Gough and also admitted that he had abused around 30 other boys. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and the trial judge, who spoke of his doubt that it would ever be safe to release Miller, recommended that he should serve at least 30 years in prison before being considered for parole.

At the time of his arrest, Miller was living in a privately owned flat in Merry Hill, Wolverhampton, and working for a local firm as a computer operator.

Tariff

Miller has since asked the authorities to keep him in prison for the rest of his life, and it has since been confirmed that he is on the list of prisoners who have been issued with a whole life tariff and are unlikely ever to be released.
