Polish ping pong

Polish ping pong is a sport which is very similar to table tennis. The main differences between the two are the number of players and the hitting of the ball. The sport is very popular with college students. A national invitational tournament has been held every year since 2007 in Great Bend, PA.

Gameplay

Polish ping pong uses two teams which can have as many players as the size of the area around the table, although most teams have 3-5 players. The ball is served as in traditional table tennis but must bounce at least twice on the opponent's side. The ball can only be returned after it has bounced once onto the floor. If a player misses the ball, they incur a strike. After three strikes, that player is removed. Play continues until either one team no longer has any players or a pre-determined score is reached.
