C Company-The Lorne Scots (C Coy) is a company of the The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment).

Charlie Company of The Lorne Scots is based out of Georgetown, Ontario. C Coy has sent members to serve in many UN and NATO Operations such as the War on Terror. C Company is a Rifle Company, its members use weapons such has the C7 Rifle, the C9 LMG, and the C6 GPMG.

History

C Coy was part of the 20th Halton Rifles who became the Lorne Rifles (Scottish) before they joined with The Peel and Dufferin Regiment to become The Lorne Scots in 1936. The 20th Halton Rifles sent 3 Battalions to war during World War I. The Lorne Scots served has HQ defense Platoons for each Brigade during World War II. After World War II The Lorne Scots provided soldiers for many NATO and UN missions and Operations. C Company formally included a Mortar Platoon which fired the 81mm Mortar. The 81mm was retasked to the Artillery and taken away form Infantry units. Since then C Company has become a full Rifle Company.

Training

C Company members train every Thursday night as well as many weekends. C Company is a Light Infantry Rifle Company and as such it's training is combat focused. C Company will train with A, B, and Adm Companies on Unit exercises as well as other Regiments from 32 CBG on Brigade exercises.

A new member to the Company must first be a fully qualified Infantry Soilder before he can fully participate in all training. He first must complete his Basic Military Qualification with either The Lorne Scots, 32 CBG, or LFCA Battle Schools. The BMQ is 20 Days or 12 Weekends Long. The Soldiers Qualification is 20 Days long and teaches the soldier many combat skills.

The Final Course DP 1 Basic Infantry Qualification teaches the Soldier everything he needs to know to survie in the Infantry. Once fully trained, the new private is given his Primrose Hackle and welcomed into the Company.
