Ivan Colin Docker (b. 3 December 1925) was the 2nd Anglican Bishop of Horsham from 1975 [ The Times, Saturday, Feb 01, 1975; pg. 16; Issue 59309; col B "Archbishop Coggan’s first consecration"] until 1991. Educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham, Birmingham University and St Catherine's College, Cambridge [Who's Who 1992 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0713635142] , he studied for ordination at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford before embarking on an ecclesiastical career with a Curacy in Normanton, Derbyshire ["Debrett's People of Today": 1990, London, Debrett's ISBN 1870520090] . From 1954 he was Secretary of the CMS [Crockfords,(London, Church House 1975) ISBN 0108153674 ] and, after spells as Vicar of Midhurst and Seaford he was appointed Rural Dean of Eastbourne in 1971. Four years later he was elevated to the Episcopate. A keen photographer,he retired to Newton Abbot in 1991 [ Where he continued to serve the church as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Exeter-Who’s Who (ibid)] .
