Maba Jobe

Maba Jahou Jobe (born 1965?cite web|url=http://rulers.org/indexj.html |title=Index J|work=Rulers.org|accessdate=2008-08-08] ) is a Gambian politician. Born and raised in Farafenni, [cite news|url=http://allafrica.com/stories/200610240705.html|title=President Jammeh Appoints New Cabinet|date=2006-10-24|work=AllAfrica|accessdate=2008-08-08] he once served as an officer in the Gambian National Army.cite news|url=http://www.thegambiajournal.com/artman/publish/article_499.shtml|title=President Jammeh Revokes Maba Jobe’s Appointment |date=2006-10-25|work=The Gambia Journal|accessdate=2008-08-08] Jobe was high commissioner to Nigeria from 1996 to 2001.

In a surprise move, President Yahya Jammeh dissolved the Gambian cabinet on October 18, 2006. Jobe was appointed foreign minister for the new cabinet on October 20, replacing Lamin Kaba Bajo. Jammeh, however announced in a news broadcast on October 25 that he decided to revoke Jobe's ministership.
