Globalive Communications Corporation is a Canadian telecommunications corporation. Globalive offers a multitude of consumer products through its commercial Yak brand. These services include long distance services, high speed internet, VOIP, and mobile phone services.

History

Globalive was originally founded in 1998 by offering services over pre-established telephone networks.

In 2008 Globalive successfully purchased spectrum in Industry Canada's radio spectrum auction. Potentially allowing Globalive to become a mobile phone service provider throughout Canada except for the province of Quebec.

Orascom Telecom has a 65 per cent equity share in Globalive Wireless.
