Vasilije Calasan

Vasilije Calasan (born December 23, 1981 in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zagreb Zagreb] , [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croatia Croatia] ) is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French French] racing driver.

Vasilije Calasan started racing in 1997, when he began karting. After three seasons of karting, he stepped up to single seater racing in 2000 in the [http://www.brdc.co.uk/ BRDC Formula Ford] championship, in which he finished 2nd with multiple wins.

2002-2003 saw a step up to the [http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/championships/formularenaultuk/ British Formula Renault] Championship witch is widely regarded as one of the world's foremost junior single-seater categories.

Calasan ascended another tier in 2004, stepping up to the [http://www.fota.co.uk/ British Formula Three] Championship (national class), with [http://www.promatecme.co.uk/ Promatecme Racing] . British Formula 3 has long been the traditional training ground for the stars of the future. Vasilije took his first win in the series the same year in the first race at [http://www.silverstone.co.uk/php/home.html Silverstone] . He finished 3rd in the championship with many podiums and 3 wins.
