No. of floors 1 Website http://www.northgrandmall.com/ North Grand Mall is a 340,000-square-foot[2] shopping center serving the city of Ames, Iowa and owned by GK Development, Inc. since 2004.[3] In 2006, plans were announced for a $30 million renovation and expansion.[4] In 2004, a farmers' market operated at the mall.[5] The mall's anchor stores are JCPenney and Younkers, with a third anchor (Sears) having announced its closure in late 2008.[6]
A rival mall was planned for the area of East 13th Street and Interstate 35 in Ames.[7]
