- American Guide Series
The American Guide Series was a group of books and pamphlets published under the auspices of the
Federal Writers' Project (FWP), a Depression-era works program in theUnited States . The FWP hired scores of writers to produce a number of works detailing the local stories, history, and color of the states and numerous cities and locales across the United States.Titles in the American Guide Series
