Mark A. Fischer

Mark A. Fischer (born September 28, 1950 in Evanston, Illinois) is a leading new media and entertainment lawyer, and renowned expert on copyright law. He drafted the first the first open source license, the GNU Emacs license for Richard Stallman's Free Software Foundation. He co-writes the leading treatise on book publishing, [http://www.aspenpublishers.com/Product.asp?catalog_name=Aspen&product_id=0735504482 Perle & Williams Publishing Law Handbook (3rd Ed.)] published by Aspen Publishing/Kluwer.
