William of Macclesfield

William of Macclesfield

William of Macclesfield [William Mackelfield, Macklefield, Mackelelfield, Maklesfeild, Marsfield.] (died 1303-4) was an English Dominican theologian, with the nickname "Doctor Inclytus". He was created Cardinal in December 1303 by Pope Benedict XI; it is unclear whether this was before his death.
