2002 Denali earthquake

2002 Denali earthquake

east of the October 23 foreshock. The rupture then jumped to the main Denali fault strand propagating for a further convert|220|km|mi|0 before jumping again onto the Totschunda fault and rupturing another convert|70|km|mi|0 of fault plane. The total surface rupture was ca. convert|340|km|mi|0.

There is evidence of local supershear propagation inferred from ground motions.
