Plot

Monica suffers from amnesia, and is taken into a bus station. There, she meets Dr. Chester Crayton (Michael Moriarty) who can't wait to get on a bus to see his wife's murderer's execution. A priest who sells bibles frames Monica of stealing money from Effie (Irma P. Hall), the owner of the bus station. The Colonel (Dakin Matthews) calls the police to take Monica away.

While waiting, Monica meets a woman named Sueellen (Devon Odessa) who wants to have her baby in the hometown Elvis Presley was born in, so that her baby could be famous, too. Her husband (Connor Trinneer) finds her and argues with her about the plan she has. He then prays how he'll get Sueellen to come home with him. Monica tells Sueellen that her husband told Monica that he loves Sueellen. Sueellen then asks her husband to take her home.

Monica then prays to God (unfamiliar with it because of the amnesia), asking for Him to help her find out who she is. The police then show up to arrest Monica, but Effie lets her go free. After that, Monica remembers who she is. She then appears to Effie as an angel, saying that God loves her. Monica also thanks her for her compassion and mercy and helping her remember who she is.

At the jail, Chester is watching with glee as his wife's murderer is about to be executed. Monica appears to Chester as an angel saying that he won't feel happiness with revenge. Before the murderer dies, he sees Chester forgiving him.
